Scientific Seminar on Women’s Health
A scientific seminar was organized today at the Sri Ganganagar Homeopathic Medical College, Hospital, and Research Institute. The theme of this seminar was "International Women’s Day 2026 – Women Empowerment, Women's Health." During the program, the college Principal, Dr. Pranab Kumar Chakraborty, highlighted the importance of women's health and empowerment and encouraged the students to remain aware of this subject. Invited expert speakers from Jan Sewa Hospital delivered insightful lectures at this seminar. Gynaecologist Dr. Mukesh Swami provided detailed information on the topic of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB), explaining its causes, symptoms, and treatment. Meanwhile, Gynecologist Dr. Selly engaged in a comprehensive discussion on PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), emphasizing the need for awareness regarding this growing health issue among women. Dr. Praveen Sharma served as the Chief Guest for the event, while Dean Dr. Charanjeet Singh and Dr. N.C. Chatterjee were also notably present. The seminar was successfully organized under the guidance of the Organizing Secretary, Dr. Sharanjeet Kaur Gill. On this occasion, all faculty members of the Homeopathy department, staff members, undergraduate students, and postgraduate students were present in large numbers. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Vinay Sen, who expressed gratitude to all the guests.
