10TH AYURVEDA DAY CELEBRATION
The 10th Ayurveda Day Celebrations at Sri Ganganagar College of Ayurvedic Science & Hospital began on September 15, 2025, under the guidance of the Ministry of Ayush and NCISM, with a vibrant week long series of events aimed at promoting the significance of Ayurveda in modern healthcare. From expert health talks, street plays, wellness camps, and exhibitions to hands-on workshops, student wellness initiatives, and a grand concluding ceremony, the celebrations engaged students, faculty, and the community in meaningful wayshighlighting Ayurvedas holistic approach to health and wellness.

The inaugural activity was a health talk on Role of Diet in Healthy Life delivered by Dr. Alka Bhatia, Clinical Dietitian from Janseva Hospital. The session concluded with a Q & A segment, allowing for interactions with the audience. Following the health talk, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, and Dr. Sudesh Bhambu shared their valuable insights, making it a truly meaningful session.

As part of the week-long series of events, today students of First and Second Prof took a creative approach to spread awareness about Ayurveda through a street play. The street play was performed with a vision of using art to disseminate the message of Ayurveda's importance in healthcare and wellness to society.
Also, a health team from the institute including faculty members, medical officers, PG scholars, and internees provided their services in a medical and wellness camp, where special services like yoga sessions and Ayurvedic diet consultation were given to a total of 90 patients at Sadhuvali Village.

This activity aimed to educate students about the benefits of Ayurveda, promote healthy lifestyle choices, and raise awareness about important health issues.

- Yoga and Meditation Session: UG students and PG scholars demonstrated Yoga and Pranayama.
- Storytelling Session: Dr. Rajesh Sharma shared inspiring stories of patient successes, highlighting the benefits of Ayurveda.
- Ayurvedic Diet Demonstration: Faculties prepared and demonstrated healthy Ayurvedic diet recipes to students.
- Agnikarma Workshop: Dr. Ajay Jalandhara conducted a workshop demonstrating the Ayurvedic procedure of Agnikarma to students.

An awareness program on Pharmacovigilance was successfully conducted at Sri Ganganagar College of Ayurvedic Science and Hospital organized by the Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana. The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Perbhat Kansal, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Dr. S. S. Tantia Medical College, Sri Ganganagar. Dr. Kansal highlighted the importance of drug safety, adverse drug reaction monitoring, prescription auditing, and the ethical responsibility of healthcare professionals. Dr. S. Shruti emphasized the importance of adverse drug reaction reporting for Ayurvedic drugs and explained the reporting system. The session was highly interactive, engaging faculty, researchers, and students. Students also attended a post-test and significant improvement in their knowledge was observed. The event was graced by Principal Dr. Rishu Sharma, Vice Principal Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, and other faculty members. The program concluded with gratitude and commitment to strengthening Pharmacovigilance.

The nationwide 10th Ayurveda Day celebrations concluded with a series of meaningful events. Sri Ganganagar College of Ayurvedic Science & Hospital participated in all the events ordered by NCISM and the Ministry of Ayush. The concluding events included:
- Sthapana of Lord Nataraja Statue: Conducted by Tantia University's international guest Dr. P.A. Krishantha Pathiraja, Veyangoda, Sri Lanka and Dr. M.M. Saxena, VC of Tantia University at Ayurveda Hospital Building, highlighting the spiritual aspects of Ayurvedic science.
- Pooja of Lord Dhanvantari: Performed in the Ayurveda college premises to honor the father of Ayurveda. The entire pooja was carried out by Vice Principal Dr. Omprakash Sharma.
- Run for Ayurveda Rally: Faculties and students participated in a rally to promote Ayurveda and its benefits, covering all main locations of the university campus and the main road opposite Janseva Hospital.
- Prize Distribution: Students and faculty members who contributed to the week's events were recognized and rewarded for their efforts.
Dr. Rishu Sharma, Principal, thanked everyone in the institute for enthusiastically participating in the events and motivated them for their bright career in Ayurveda.
These events marked a fitting conclusion to the nationwide week-long celebration, promoting Ayurveda's significance and fostering community engagement.
